Fork & Pantry

How this works

The tool

Every recipe in the library lists its required ingredients against a dictionary of about 150 common items. When you tick what you have, the matcher checks all 150 recipes instantly in your browser and sorts the results: ready to cook, one ingredient away, two or more away. No account, nothing uploaded, no AI in the loop.

The recipes

All 150 recipes are written by our team for this site — we do not scrape or republish other recipe websites. Quantities are specific, steps are single actions with timings, and every recipe carries a cook’s note. Meat and fish steps include safe internal temperatures: poultry to 165°F / 74°C, ground meat to 160°F / 71°C, whole cuts of pork to 145°F / 63°C, fish until it flakes.

What we do not do

No calorie counts, no nutrition claims, no diet advice — the numbers change and the internet is full of worse versions. No photo recognition: tick ten boxes instead of uploading your fridge to somebody’s server. No accounts: your pantry and saved recipes live in your browser and stay there until you clear them.

Limits

150 recipes is a deliberate starting line, not an encyclopedia. Stove behavior varies — treat our timings as tested medians and adjust to your kitchen. If a step looks wrong to you, trust your instincts and skip the recipe rather than fight it.
